My Sanctuary of Poetry

by Pink Butterfly   Aug 14, 2010

Beyond the narrow windows of vastness
Was my field of hopes and dreams
The sun rays that traced my shadow
Was once the light into my realms

It was not far so long ago
When I cradled my sight for bliss
I've seen innumerable earth possessions
That now I've come to miss

My pen withered like a thirsty rose
But now it bloomed again
I remember a place that was my home
My reliever of sudden burden

A melody was cast in my brain
Words tremble accordingly
For this dwelling is nothing else
But "My Sanctuary of Poetry"

Absolutely love this line. The whole poem was beautifully written with very good use of both imagery and vocab. Most enjoyable!
