Why Did He Do It

by Timothy   Aug 28, 2010

I knew someone via the net,
His daily rantings proved he was very upset;
I saw him around town, knew his name,
Thought he'd be around forever, but now I know shame.

Hindsight, they say, is always 20/20,
Reading the previous days posts, the hints were plenty;
Was it a cry for help, or a farewell,
Perhaps we will never be able to tell.

An unhappy life, he felt he was alone,
Texting his messages via his cell phone;
Why did he do it, texting in the dark,
At the end, the social site will always portray his final remark.

(unfortunately, a true story)
