Tears fall

by East Poetry   Sep 13, 2010

When tears fall,
As often times they do.
How often is the question?
Is really up to you.

The clever man, if asked,
Might just simply say.
"The least often for me, I choose"
To avoid those rainy days.

The wise man, on the other hand
With wisdom would reply.
"As often as I need dear lord"
No chance would I let by.

Why the difference of opinion?
The ask'er did employ.
The clever man shrugged, as the wise man said.

"No amount of hardship Is worth losing tears of joy"

I enjoyed this piece, but it seemed like it was a little rushed.

    "The wise man says,
    Thinking he is wise.
"The least often for me, I'll choose"
As if to save himself demise."

I think you could play around with this stanza a bit more to get a full effect.

All in all, I loved the whole Idea of the poem:) incredibly creative
