Greed

by Theory   Sep 14, 2010

This reality gets real only when we cry out reaching for our savior,
Only searching in the times of desperation leaving it up to a prayer
We embody humanities essence our soul provides us this evidence
Withstanding, enduring life's lessons is our sole purpose for existence
But forever long are those days which give us the most resistance
We struggle our steps forward all the while without any conscience
Oblivious to the sense of the certain demise of our withering souls
While blinded to the fact that no one knows what the afterlife holds
We theorize the possibilities that have been passed down by the old
Eventhough strong in reason never are we sure of which ones to hold
Stand for what you believe in and confront it all is what we've been told
Never in mind have you kept that vision while you catch glimpse of that gold
Straining your essence for greed, the supplier of our malevolent agendas
When will we wake up and realize that this is going to be the end of us

This started off as a great read but nearing the end some of your words seemed to be forced into place for the final conclusion. Layout aint really that bad, not a one i would normally go for but it works well for you. -IBE
