Moving Away From You

by Timothy   Oct 2, 2010

You are not always out of her life by choice,
Definitely not allowed to have a voice;
Telling her you love her when you are able,
But who knows if she reads it as real or some silly fable.

When she's around, what do you have to share,
This time apart has been so unfair;
The gulf now seems to stretch for miles,
But a father sits in denial.

But what's the hardest to take of all,
Was from the day she began to crawl;
There was nothing that you could do,
To stop her from moving away from you.
