Recipe for a perfect night

Two friends with broken feelings, they're torn apart
Ex-boyfriends bruised their spirit, completely ripped their heart
In need of comfort, cuddles and a night without tears
A perfect night after not seeing each other for years

All they need is 1 Friday night, 2 best friends
3 Disney movies, you're never too old for pretend
4 candy bars, 5 different munchies by our side
6 hours on the couch, 7 tissues incase we cry

8 cans of pop, 9 belly laughs are a must
10 minute break to go pee just so we don't bust
We'll need 11 hours of sleep; Lord knows we'll be tired
Sugar, caffeine and laughter will keep us up nice and wired

It's a recipe for the perfect night, the perfect night with my girl
Sometimes a little cuddle from friends is all we need in this world
She fills that void a man left, that empty dark hole
She's rebuilding my heart that my ex so easily stole

You can't always make it in life without one person there
To tell you they love you and really show they care
Sure, one day I won't be walking to her down the aisle
But who needs a man when a good friend makes you smile?

I've been mistreated and backstabbed, but she has remained true
This apparently isn't easy for most people to do
I know this may be tacky and sound totally cliche'
But there's no other way to word it, this is what I want to say

This writing is dedicated to the one girl who heals my heart
Brought back into my life, now I vow to never be torn apart
When I need it most, she turns my dark days into lights
So easily she can whip up a recipe for the perfect night
