Reasons

A collage of people, surround me every day,
Similar, yet different, in every imaginable way,
Their paths, entwine, from moment to moment,
Interacting, conveniently with determined intent,
A significant encounter, committed to ones memory,
A moment in time to share each other's affinity,
Some meetings so familiar, almost, preordained,
A lasting imprint, upon you, is all that remained,
They pass you by with no thought of the importance,
That every single, action, word, has upon your conscience,
A single word, a facial expression can trigger emotions untold,
Creating a situation, we powerlessly watch unfold,
The power within, to enrich, or destroy a persons experience,
The power to manipulate, control, negotiate, with convenience,
Each person brings enlightenment, knowledge and understanding,
If you sit, observe, learn and be patient, not demanding,
Your knowledge, comprehension and compassion will exceed,
If you pay attention to all those around you and their needs,
To be loved, respected, appreciated and accepted,
To be ignored, isolated, vilified leaves one dejected,
The one desire we share regardless of our differences,
Common knowledge of this desire and its very significance,
To treat one another with appropriate care and consideration,
Creates mutual respect, with evanescent affiliation,
Is it so hard? to offer your kindness, courtesy and a touch of etiquette,
This basic method will serve you well, providing its rules you never forget,
Treat people as you wish to be treated, your life will never take an incorrect turn,
Make the most of every encounter, no matter how small, and learn....

Some people enter our lives for specific reasons, yet others are present just for a season, regardless each has a significant impact. Make your influence in life positive to all you encounter. It's absolutely essential to your happiness and the happiness of others.......
