My Card House

by Carmen   Oct 22, 2010

I live in a house
made of half a deck of cards.
You wonder why
I keep myself
in such a delicate,
vulnerable place.
I bet it sounds dumb to you.
You probably think
the rain will soak through
or the wind will knock it over.
But it stood strong
when you threw me into its walls;
providing no windows
for you to look at me ever again.
