Dare I Ponder?

by Ronald Edwards   Oct 24, 2010

It came to me
on one fine day,
a thought worth thinking thru.

At first it floated
round my brain,
scheming my next coup.

You see I am
not all alone,
she acts like shes the man.

She rules this tryst
with iron fist,
murder is my plan.

At all cost
I must try,
and not make a big mess.

I hear to do it
in her sleep,
around her throat caress.

Or should a silent
drop or two,
fall in her coffee cup?

A potent mix
of hemlock,
for her not to wake up.

There must be
a thousand ways
to end this blessed hell.

Dare I ponder
how to pull
the rope to her death bell?

Why not get a divorce? Less messy;)

    ^^through instead of thru

I reread this and found this a little juvenile, if I am honest, for someone your age....

I know the intent was humor but not sure it made it. At times, I think we all have these thoughts about our mates but to me it is sad rather than funny.
