A Vision

by Robert Daniel Long   Oct 29, 2010

I sit here
In the quiet
While thoughts of you
Dance in my head
I'm mesmerized by you
And I'm lost in the moment
For time has stood still

As I sit here
A vision
Appears before me
And that vision
Is you

I see a beauty
Like no other before
I feel the warmth of your skin
As you press your lips to mine
The softness of your hair
The smoothness of your touch
Melts my heart

As these thoughts
Fill my mind with desires

Your presence
Makes my heart
Pound in my chest
As if running away
Energized for the first time
I can smell
The essence of your perfume
As you fill the air
Around me
And give me hope

The hope of your hand joined to mine
For an eternity
Entwined as one

So I sit here
In this quiet
While these thoughts of you
Dance in my head
I'm mesmerized by you
For the vision before me

Is of you
