My Wings

by Lynn Anderson   Dec 7, 2010

A wise eagle spreads his wings.
To begin a flight of life.
Love is which his heart does sing.

The wind is blowing a scent of spring.
The eagle blows along toward the sunlight.
Love is what this sunlight brings.

In the highest perch, he knows hes king.
No one to fear, nothing to fright.
Dominant, yet loves still beating.

Strength of many, not one shed mean.
Any distance, any height.
And still love is all he sings.

The greatest of all living things.
Full of glory, full of might.
Is the eagle, who spreads his wings.

Love to others is all he brings.
To help fulfill their life's.
His love filled heart sings.
This eagle with open wings.
