Vent

It's another day at 4 a.m. to let my conscience sleep in,
Feeling like a firewall with passable defenses,
Watching traffic pass me by while speeding in the fast lane,
It's another day at 4 a.m. I think I'm going insane.

Stop watch the light turn green,
Listen to another bands complete discography,
Watch the gas go down a tad,
Think about my bank and treat it like a passing fad.

Is it worth all the hassle just to live a normal life,
Something should be wrong,
Something could be right,
I'd take some tacks by the glassful to get off early every night,
Something should be wrong,
Something could be right.

My conscience comes to bug me at a quarter to seven,
I should have gotten home about an hour ago if even,
This can't be good for my self esteem this can't be good for anything,
The lights turned off in the parking lot this evening looks so promising.

Stop drop the pen go home,
Don't forget to take the charger with you for your phone,
Don't let it do you in,
Tomorrow it'll happen again.

Is it worth all the hassle to know that I'm losing my mind,
Something should be wrong,
Something could be right,
I'd take some tacks by the glassful to have the stop wasting my time,
Something should be wrong,
Something could be right.
