Feeling This

by megann anne   Dec 23, 2010

I lay in anticipation,
what will tomorrow bring?
Beams of pink and orange kiss my eyelids and face,
the warmth, reminding me of your smile, your kiss.
The sun dries the angel's tears,
turning my winter heart to summer.
Your skin glistens as the hot sun takes all of you.
We find warmth from each other in the winter cold,
and cling to childhood hopes as we watch the snow.
Perhaps it is just this season,
this Christmas hope.
It brings a special feeling that makes us fall in love.
When we make promises and smiles of gold, for a little while, lies do not exist,
and heartbreak is never known.
