RUNAWAY

The moon rains his tears on an angry world;
a naive daughter.
He sheds his beauty on hollow eyes,
collecting friendships from gypsies and beggars.
You blindly follow the tragedy of his enticing song.
You fall so easily in the dark.
Your heart aches when the mood retires,
but there is deceit in his shallow charm.
The captive light he portrays is immeasurable to your beauty.
You are the beauty of an honest word,
of a jovial song.
Your light is certain,
but can you escape the moon?
