Salvation

by DeafBeats   Jan 11, 2011

"Salvation was created for sinners"
But would salvation be given
to a person, no, Demon
some kind of evil -
maybe possessed,
but it never felt guilt,
only pleasures from death

It preys on the weak,
latches on screams and pain
Relentless as it creeps,
the life force it drains

A psycho pervert
Stabbing hearts that wasn't theirs
The soul it reaps,
rips and tears

Would salvation be given to
a dark creature that devours innocence,
rapes, tortures and kills
Stains purity just for play
Practically twisted

Could forgiveness be given to such violence?

I have mixed feelings about this poem as on one hand I felt the poem could have had a better flow but on the other hand I liked what was there and felt the flow didn't matter so much.

The stanza I liked the least was the second stanza as I felt the whole thing could have been worded better but that said I loved the power in the the stanza that followed:

    "A psycho pervert
    Stabbing hearts that wasn't theirs
    The soul it reaps,
    rips and tears"

    Excellently put!
