Monster

by PinkyPrincess   Jan 23, 2011

I'm in love with a monster,
Who has no care at all.
A person with no heart
Somehow has stolen mine.

He's a true monster,
A venomous villain,
A soulless bastard,
Filled with negativity.

He lives to get his way
No matter what it is.
He treats people like slaves
Including me, the woman he loves.

The monster played with my heart,
He dribbled it on the ground
Until it finally burst
And now there's nothing left.

Every time I stand up,
He pushes me back down.
He takes pleasure in opening
My bloody, unhealed wounds.

I have been severely mistreated
But my monster cannot be stopped.
He will continue to get what he wants
Obeying him is my only way of survival.

I'm in love with a monster;
I don't understand why.
He stole my weak heart
And crushed it with his own hands.

I loved this entire poem! I liked how you worded everything, because it came from your heart and that is what I think identifies true poetry. Not how we word things or anything like that, but the raw emotion that is included in it. I thought it was awesome and well written and it was something believable and real. I loved the poem just the way it is just to let you know. And I am being 100 % honest. Nice write here. :) (I had chills while reading it.)
