The Shadow Beneath The Flesh

by Lioness   Feb 3, 2011

The shadow that lies beneath the flesh
Follows me as if it were leading me
The sunshine that radiates the dark shadow
Makes it harder for the flesh to be seen

Unseen and unheard the blissful shadow
Protects the energy that emits from the flesh
While unknown entities converse words of hate
That they whisper from under their breath

The radiant shadow gets weaker with time
The harmful murmurs now start to undress
The protection of the energy is now diminished
Exposing the raw numbness of the flesh

This is an interesting one, it was really well written and quite.... dark. You have used a lot of powerful words in this one which jump off the screen as you read.

    good work
