Snow

by H. Elizabeth   Feb 4, 2011

A thin layer of ice crystals cover the ground.
It takes me a while to realize it's starting to snow.
I have never seen that happen in my hick town.
Sure, I've seen snow in my town before,
But never like this.
To the concrete; it sticks!
I lie down on the snow, not even an inch thick,
I start to move my arms and legs up and down very quick.
A snow Angel is what I'm making.
It's not good, but you can tell what I wanted.
My doggy looks confused.
She sticks her nose up in the air,
And starts to lick the pavement.
I laugh and throw up my head.
"What if the snowing ends soon?!" I dread.
Finally I go back inside,
Resting for a while.
Mother tells me my snow Angel will be there tomorrow.
I sure hope so.

** This really happened, and it's very unusual for it to snow in my hick town, lol. **
