How Dare You

by Lioness   Feb 13, 2011

How dare you unveil your words of hate
It is because of you that I am in this state

You convey with ease that I am not of beauty
That in your eyes I am difficult to see

You question the sentiments that I express
Even at the times when I feel I am blessed

Each word that I hear devours me alive
I cannot breathe easy I suffocate inside

I begged for you to bring to an end
What I cannot approve or ever comprehend

Why do you insist on portraying me this way?
Why declare we're family and then leave me astray?

You ridicule my body that I have grown to disgust
You blame me so quickly, I say that's unjust

Every word you expel, I eat my way through
Instead of seeing me clearly you now misconstrue

Your words of love are long overdue

I love this Liz. The opening was so strong and I loved how you pulled it all together at the end. Defiently a great piece of work. 5/5
