Affection

by Yakari Gabriel   Mar 14, 2011

Loneliness is here again.
Filling me with a coldness
that numbs my heart..
---
If only affection would find me
to satisfy this soul
that has been craving it forever.

A simple though here, living in loneliness and just wishing for affection. You express a lot in a few words, and something common among many people. Nothing much more to say here. You said it just how it was.

Oh how I wish everyone in the world could feel some sort of affection. Lonliness and neglect is just an awful thing in this world and I get sad every time I know about someone who feels unloved.

Your words are really special Yaki. I quite enjoyed this poem as I do all your work!

    Yaki,

As always your elegance in wording amazes me. I love how you take words and phrases that would be simple if said by another person and yet because you have written them they hold such a delicate touch. This was short and sweet but held an impact, I felt the emotion. I do hope your find that fire to burn an eternal flame in your heart forever.

    A beautiful poem.
