Wheezer

by Kuro   Mar 24, 2011

Sometimes it feels like
I'm running on a track
Doing the best I can
Yet falling behind the pack

Fallen so far behind
I can't keep up this pace
Life seems so stupid
When you are running a race

Who am I trying to impress?
Walking is fine for me
Dying for your pleasure
I'd rather live and breathe

I liked the message of this poem of living the life simple and at its best. Very easy flowing poem and nice to read. Good one.

*I felt like you were repeating yourself at the end of this stanza and at the beginning of the next. You've alredy said that you're behind the rest so I don't think you needed to say it again in the next stanza.*

*I like the first two lines of this stanza. I've never thought of trying to be ahead of someone as impressive. This was an okay poem. Not my favorite from you, I've seen you do more deeper poems. The rhyme was simple as well as the diction But the flow was constant so that was good and I your emotional content was there as well. Thanks for sharing. -Nik*
