Mom may sleep

by Larry Chamberlin   May 8, 2011

Our mom cleaned the daily grime,
sang us sleep with nurs'ry rhyme,
now we're living through our prime,
while she sleeps that final dream;
raise our kids - the human stream
in their eyes find mother's gleam.

    This is such a touching and beautiful tribute to mothers, those still with us and those who have passed. Great rhythm and rhyme, love the structure poetically, it's amazing. Very emotional and truly tugged at my heartstrings. Beautifully written :)
