If you knock

by Alissa   May 15, 2011

I'm standing on the outside looking in. Unmoved and unaware of the freezing cold that surrounds me and numbs any feeling within me. Then I see someone inside, in the warmth and safety inviting me in. I look around to see if he was looking at someone else but there is no one else in sight. Yet I still do not move, Ive become frozen just like the world around me and I wonder how I got this way. I look around me and see nothing but the same until I look back inside and see him looking so happy to see me as he always does when I come his way. I notice him again inviting me in and I hear a voice say "If you knock I will answer".
