Erin of the Sycamore

by Timothy   May 26, 2011

Erin of the Sycamore,
Holding in more pain than anyone has ever bore;
The weight of the world, in a downpour,
Erin of the Sycamore.

A hiding place, a refuge,
Because life is a neverending deluge;
Not all wounds are open battle scars,
Erin of the Sycamore.

Watching the clock, watching the sun,
It's getting near, it's time to run;
Daddy comes home at four,
Erin of the Sycamore.

Erin of the Sycamore,
Are you ready to help the child you once ignored?
It's too late, she's there no more,
Erin of the Sycamore.
