Autumn Moon

by Dr sarat sonowal   Jun 5, 2011

Sitting on the riverbank
with the company of the fallen leaves
the dancing fireflies entices me
with their magical tricks

the mystic river flows on
with the music on the hill

I look upon the autumn moon
I feel the moonshine falling on my face

She whispers to me
you're not alone my Friend
its been a while you haven't smiled

and here I reply to her
hey lovely moonshine how can I smile without you
you bring me love, you bring me Joy
SO, how can I smile without you lovely moonshine
My heart will cry for you when you will fade and die

As the night passes by
the autumn moon slowly fades
with the advancing dawn
and with her
I fade with my memory and my life
