Sorting Out All The Pieces.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 23, 2011

The shiniest objects catch the sunlight. They gleam for me
But these golden treasures cast a swallowing hole in my soul,
and I find no needle to stitch back myself from the emptiness.

The ripped letters and opened seals make me emotionless.
They don't promise anything.

The bottled up memories are whisked away when I open them up.
They never wash me clean.

I think I am looking for something more in the world,
maybe I have no name for it, but You are one who won't ever fade.
I wish to be with You, to never miss You again.
This time, I am coming to You, oh God, when my heart is dying on the floor.

I now see you ever beside me. How could I have let you go?
