First Friend

When I first started college,
I thought I wouldn't make any friends,
But I made one friend who I thought would be true.
She made me feel sorry for her,
She told me her parents treated her bad,
That she wasn't allowed out
And that they took her mobile off her.
I truly believed her
And remained friends.
We had a class together,
And we hung out at recess and lunch and on our breaks,
We went to the smokers' area where she smoked.
She got me into smoking,
Even though I knew it was bad.
She was into dope
And got me trying it.
I thought she was cool,
She had heaps of boyfriends throughout the year,
She even told me when she had sex.
Our friendship went hay wire and broke.
She was not the right friend for me.
She went round school trashing everything.
She even got pulled away from the school by cops.
She wasn't allowed back at school any more.
