Slowly Beating

by Timothy S   Jul 19, 2011

A slowly beating heart is surviving at best
Set in stone is the writing inscribed on my chest
Invisible to most, but there none the less
Pressing on, going through the motions
No commotion goes on, hardly any emotion to invest
Hoping this is a rest stop on the road to success
Motivation comes in odd forms, and this one's a mess
All the tormet that goes on, contorts brilliant moves in chess
A mere game of mortals, only hope we all win in the end
