If only

by amber arendt   Jul 21, 2011

When on the phone with him

My eyes light up and my heart skips a beat

Thinking of him being with me

The touch of his

the blink of his eyes

and the trace of his smile challenging mine

then slowly we walk;

just talking and laughing

being ourselves

as he'd turn to me and smile

making me blush and look to the ground

his hands on my face making me look up to him

He'd lean in kissing me softly

Then I'd come back to reality to his voice calling "amber"

I answer sounding disappointed

And I would just look to the phone

Then sweetly he'd ask whats wrong

I would tell him I was daydreaming

And next thing I know He be doing the same

And I'd be calling his name

Then we would laugh and tell each other the dreams

Except I would change mine

If only he could see how much

I really love him
