This world isn't made of dreams.
That's just the lie we chose to believe,
This world has it's happy days,
And the ones filled with sorrow,
It's ups and downs,
But what no one tells us,
Is that with every up....
There is an even greater down.
This life is made of broken hearts,
Searching for that day...
When they can be whole again,
A world of lost souls,
Wishing for that place to rest.
We all make the choices that define us,
That shape the very world around us,
And I've made a choice on this day,
To change the way my heart works,
To turn of the emotions that cloud my logic,
And cause me so much more pain.
Today I change for the better,
And maybe when she finally shows up...
I'll be that wolf worth loving,
And not this love sick puppy!
I'm moving on and bringing my barriers back.
You changed me, Love,
You made me feel,
And showed me all I want in my life,
But you also carved that knife to deep,
And now my heart bleeds when I think of you.
But now it's time to close up those wounds,
So I can be strong again,
And grow into the man you need,
Not the kid you see.
