The Sweet Sorrow of Love

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 3, 2011

You used to say you'll be there
But I frequently hugged myself
You used to say you'll love me
But I don't need your help

The sweet sorrow of your love
Has taught me that it doesn't exist
Nobody can tell me it's real
Cause my relationships always end with a twist

I used to want to be a princess
So prince charming can come save me
Thought love will make me blessed
I guess love has a master's degree

To let me fall so hard to quickly get back up
To let me deal with lies and unfaithfulness
The sweet sorrow of your love
Doesn't quite make me impressed

So, love, I thought you loved me
Cause if you did, I wouldn't be sad right now
I thought you had my back this time
But I guess you'll always let me down
