Regret

I had set to write a poem when I found I had the time.
and dispensed with thought of meter and I would not make it rhyme.
That should make the whole thing easy but in the end it made it worse.
For I seem to have a problem when I try to do blank verse.

    May I ask a question?
    Is blank verse like free verse?

    I mean free verse doesn't follow any pattern, so blank verse is similar but I am not sure.

      I don't really know the difference... don't like [or maybe don't do] either much...... but it fitted in nicely so I used or maybe misused it.
