Wandering Shade

by WanderingShade   Aug 5, 2011

I'm wandering trapped between the realm of the living, and that of the dead. I sold my soul a long time ago to protect you, and now I have to pay the price for my stupidity.
You said you cared. But as I long for you to see me again, to feel you in my arms, I realize it was all a lie. I thirst for the water that flows in front of me, but can never retrieve it.
I hunger for the food that sit just within grasp, but can never reach it. Thanks to you, I'm a wandering shade trapped in between the realms. Forever alone, forever surround by those that can't see me. You made me believe in you, and now I'm paying the price...

Wow pretty much amazing. I love the flow it has it simply rolls off the tongue and the emotion you express of giving someone your all and for them to mistreat it is very powerful. Great write.

Is it a prose ? or what ? If it's a prose I can understand why the format is like that, and even if its not, i did not mind how the lines were placed.

I love this so much, it's almost like how I myself write, I love simplicity yet depth. I love your words choice, and definitely concept cause I can relate. well done!
