A change of pace

Lately in my life,
I have always looked at the negative aspects,
I can not always see myself as a bad guy,
Or see myself as a loner,
But rather open my eyes to the good in my life,
I have a mother who finally starts to care about me,
I have a brother whom I can visit and spend time with,
I have a sister whom I would do anything for and her for me,
I have friends who I can be goofy with,
In actuality my life is pretty good,
I just live in the past,
Always going to that dark place in my mind when things go wrong,
It was a very comfortable place to be,
Walking around always thinking that my good day will turn bad,
But not anymore,
I still have a lot of skeletons to get out of my closet,
But the worst is over,
I can live,
Can I live,
I must live,
Live for my family and myself,
The journey begins with the first step,
And I will walk hard,

    The way you started was really captivating and you kept me interested till the end. I think this poem is really powerful and contains a lot of emotions. Its meaning is really strong too and I believe that it's heartfelt.

    I am sorry if you experience bad things, it's part of life though and makes us appreciate the good more. I hope you will be able to enjoy life and that you will be fully satisfied one day.
