Scared

I had a nightmare
Woke up crying
With my heart pounding
My pulse racing.
I forced my eyes shut
Being scared...
Of what lingered in the shadows.
I didn't want to sleep
Scared of what I would see.
Fear...
Not being able to comprehend,
The thoughts in your head.
It's unmanageable
Untangible
Unimaginable.
Frightened to death
Of the darkness,
Your head,
To sleep.
Woke up crying
Unsteady breathing
Scared out of my witts
Left feeling so much pain.
