As Difficult as it sounds - The Dark Place

The Dark Place is your mind,

The Dark Place is full of hurtful thoughts,

The Dark Place holds every problem you ever had,

The Dark Place is nothing but pain,

When you feel like you are ready to give up, the Dark Place is where the idea comes from,

Being alone in your mind with no one to talk to is the worst possible place to be,

You close your eyes and think of how messed up your life has become,

Or how you feel that you should be in a better situation than you are now,

You think no one cares about you,

You think no one will even care that you are gone,

But you do not kill yourself just yet,

Instead you pick up a razor blade and cut yourself to see how it feels,

You begin to realize that while you see the blood sliding down your arm to the tip of your finger, that you somehow feel better,

So you begin to cut yourself daily to take the edge off,

The razor becomes your friend,

A friend that you can always count on in a time of need,

But then your life gets worse and out of control,

Not even your friend can make you feel better,

So you close your eyes again looking for guidance,

And the answer that you receive is to end it all,

You walk in the bathroom grabbing your friend by the hand,

You look in the mirror and you see a weak person staring back,

Tears begin to flow from their eyes, wishing it had not come to this point,

You close your eyes for the last time,

Then when you open them, you are not in your bathroom anymore,

But you are in front of a gate surround by decaying corpses and death,

It was too late to save you,

Now you are free,

Free from all the trials and tribulations,

Free from responsibility,

Free from everything,

You have the Dark Place in your mind to thank for that,

It rescued you,

Now you have a long journey ahead in the afterlife,

I know many people are familiar with the "Dark Place" I am referring to, so I wrote this for them. The people who are too scared to open their mouths and express there true feelings. Maybe if they read this, they will know what the end result will be. Take it from someone who has been through this, it is not pleasant. Maybe it will save a life or two. Only time will tell. In the mean time take care my brothers and sisters.
