What I am...

by yellowb   Jun 23, 2004

The whispery cold night I am,
listening to the trees being torn, the wind is howling, screaming out in fear and pain,
Crashing against the tidal rocks,
My child, curled up in covers,
crying, moaning, afraid of the dark

I am the thundery storm,
My flash of hope, causes fear,
Driving rain, once life, now death,
My thunder rumbles, in the silent valleys, nobody hears.
Darkness surrounds me, it is me,

I am the twisting turning wind,
blind to my damage,
untouchable by man or beast,
I can not be tamed,
Deaf, to my own shattering screams.
