Opening Kiss

by Larry Chamberlin   Sep 21, 2011

Took the key to your heart
from under the front doormat;
slipped in so quietly not
even the guard dog
knew I was there.

Found you as always
tending that secret garden,
nurturing tiny gardenia blooms;
murmered love's true name and felt
a smile brush me ere you turned.

    Amazing scenery in the 1st stanza. It kind of reminded me of one of The Script new songs: If you ever come back

    I love this :).

    It flowed perfectly and the love pours out. You can picture yourself entering the house slowly & carefully and a smile appearing.
    Amazing job :)
