Dissapointment In Me Once Again

by H. Elizabeth   Sep 22, 2011

Disappointment in me once again.
I don't want to betray him,
But the sharp blade draws me in.
It slowly seduces me.
"I can't do this to him.
I am mesmerized by its sharpness.
"How could I go against my word?"
I press the blade to my skin.
"I told him I wouldn't do anything."
Blood beads up and starts rolling off my wrists
Like the tears rolled down my face.
"He said he'd be sad if I DID do something."
I hang my head low, ashamed.
"I hate myself."
Disappointment in my once again.
