Inner pain

by luminous wonder   Sep 30, 2011

Out of the depths of a dying ocean she calls his name,
hoping he can save her from all this utter shame.
Seeking his embrace to lift her above the flames,
a inner burning pain that never goes away...

Twisted between the truth and the lies
her life begins to fray between the loose ties.
Missing his voice amongst the world of cries...
She lifts her head up to the crimson skies for the last time.

The stars that once burnt bright...
Now a fadeless memory within souls sight.
Pain quivers within the dark moon light
as the fear rises in the middle of the night.

Blood drips down her eyelids amongst the tears
life has cornered her among her many inner fears.
Her voice distant and never heard by peoples ears
she faces the world alone as the darkness appears...
