Fever Dreams

by Ryan Wilson   Oct 7, 2011

Drenched in sweat there's a room room full of eyes the eyes staring unblinking hungry the mouth beneath the eyes wide open growling its paws claw at the earth like hands hands the hands grasping at scrabbles of the frontier but it's not enough not i'm not enough can't do this can't walk the plank the madman can't walk i can't believe that i'm here to stay never worked it out never worked it never works good advice never works some girls will never learn never change never ever never-ever coming home from the terrible flames of all that remains and nothing even matters but the cold the cold sweat cold sweat go away go away GO

note - I wrote most of this in pencil on a pad of sticky-notes while I had the worst fever of my life. Large sections of it were illegible so I later edited in bridging sections between what I could make out.
