The Corruption of Tounges

by Lee   Oct 25, 2011

Twitter is a novel way,
to tell the world your issues,
A problem shared is a problem halved
Thats halved the cost of tissues.

Though it seems so clear, its really not
This to me is now apparent.
People who are usually smart,
Are turning words abhorrent.

The use of words in our modern lives,
Has changed in recent years.
The SMS brought new slang words,
That were foreign to our ears.

So is this the century Shakespeare wept?
or maybe its the other-way round?
Shakespeare made some words of his own.
he had an ear to the ground.

The phrases shakespeare brought unto us,
are writ with a certain ripeness.
There are layers of layers hidden within
which offer a certain fondness.

Though this be madness, yet there is method in it
("There's a method to my madness")
the naked truth, the makings of,
the milk of human kindness

In my heart of hearts, In my minds eye,
In the infinite space around us
the way our languages are going,
it seems infirm of purpose.

So if old bill were alive today.
do you think that he'd say "LOL"?
I'd have to say I disagree,

By your Generic Internet Troll...
