Stargazer

I was alone,
(in the house
I still can't call home)
nibbling on some
biscuit ..when I decided
to go outside.

an eerie breeze,
settled right between
me and the sky,
and nostalgia
found a place
among all I had
been feeling..

where were you?...

I asked myself,
on that cold nostalgic
night..

not only because
I missed you terribly..
but mostly because
I felt that we had
betrayed destiny..

that we changed
its curse when we
decided to grow apart..

(weren't we destined
to be the greatest,the
closest,the silliest friends?)

I know,
Its time to move on..

but where do
I start,when
the stars are a constant
reminder of how unfaithful
we had been..

all those nights we
spent beneath them,
painting dreams and
building promises..

vanished,

and how can
I not think of you..

when the stars
are calling me
a liar, a loser
a hypocrite..

because they
too know,
that I don't dare to admit

just how empty
I feel without you.

    I really loved this piece Yaki, The emotion is so strong and really penetrates the readers mind.

    I think your use of "curse" is perfect here. I'm not sure which you meant but it really stood out to me before I even read the comments.

    Love this part too. Makes me feel that no matter how far you run, the stars are the one thing that will always follow because they hold your secrets.
