Autumn Leaves

by xoxShorteexox   Nov 22, 2011

The autumn leaves whipping around in the chilly breeze,
fall always brings the cold weather with some light sleet,
falling leaves swirl and spins with the turns of the wind,
bales of hay lying in the field for protection from winter,
the harvest moon lights up the tree line so beautifully,
this season embraces the leaves with a motherly hand.

This is short, but I wrote it for a contest for the new members November of AllPoetry. This is a poem that required 10 words that I got to choose from a list. The words are autumn, leaves, chilly, fall, cold, sleet, falling leaves, bales of hay, harvest moon and season.

First of all I really love autumn, so obviously I can't help but to love your poem. It flows really well, it has the same ease falling leaves do. I really enjoyed how vivid this poem is and you basicially turned back time for me and made me feel like it'd be autumn all around me, rather than just the cold.
