Paris Has My Heart

by xoxShorteexox   Sep 11, 2013

I don't want to run away to Malibu,
wine always tastes sweeter in the cellars of Nice,
Brazil can keep Rio de Janeiro for their own,
but Paris has held the key to my heart for so long.

I frown on the leader of Mumbai,
London never deserved clear skies,
Monterrey can keep their heat,
only Paris can sweep me off my feet.

Photograph the leaning tower,
listen to the Vatican sing,
sit at the feet of Lincoln all day,
but only Paris takes my breath away.

See the Eiffel Tower,
the way she stands so strong,
fall in love with her on the hour,
Paris, take my breath away,
for ne'er have I felt this way.
