The Skeleton Minds

Skeleton Minds

Somewhere between the eye and lash a stranger stares at the unknown
A world not configured within the brain, like a song with a twisted refrain
Slightly off beat, rhythms counting crows and rather eating the sheep.
Awake in a senseless dream, sleeping through the noise of existence

Frosty layer of human skin, cling to the carcass of this unperturbed being.
A mouth filled with tongue, not speaking the language, no nay, no wong.
Lungs fill with sulfuric acid, feeding the skin, brain turbulence placid
Seed of destruction carried in a belly ripened, fully grown and ready.

Tentacles from embryo tear at the inner peace, clawing for its freedom
The mother host bleeds in silence, as it is her nature to nurture and feed
Beware the rise of the black tiger moon, skeleton minds is coming soon
A cry at its birth will sound the bell; once again all will be well.

Mother! Mother! Take your pills! It is no time for fussing and frills!
Now, now there! That's better, eat your food and read your letter.
Where have you been! We looked all over and you were no where to be seen!
Somewhere between the eye and lash a stranger stares at the unknown.
