I Miss You

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Dec 15, 2011

Before I can even tell what's been going on
You already read my eyes to know something's wrong
And you'd delicately kiss my forehead, say it's alright
But now you can't break my sadness cause you're gone

A blue bird sings to me outside my window
I hear your voice humming in a delightful tone
I close my eyes and dream of you holding me again
Swear when I breathe in, I can smell your cologne

Surprisingly, with you looking down on me
Finally, for the first time I can breathe easily
I'm now in a steady tranquil state of mind
My tears haven't created the longest of streams

We'll meet again, my dear friend, one day
I'll always remember and cherish your gentle ways
As long as you smile when I see you in another world
Never will my depression and anger stay
