Lord, please explain to me
Why my life has been spent alone
For the reason it escapes me
The answer is unknown

I long for warmth from one
To hold close on cold dark nights
A kind heart that will love me
Lord do you not hear my plights?

This lonely soul begs your help
To find a heart to love
Do my whispered pleading words
Not reach you up above?

Lord help me find my angel
My soul mate to share my life
That i may show her love and tenderness
And with a ring make her my wife

Minutes turn to hours
As i await her every day
