I Wish You Were Once Again Mine

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Jan 12, 2012

Imprinted tears still define my face
our picture perfect past all over the place
haven't eaten in days or slept in a while
starting to disbelieve long-lasting smiles
told me to call if I had something to say
to assure you that I'm emotionally ohkay
but I don't have the strength to speak
cause I'll always be feeling weak

today, I'm at the place where we first kissed
never imagined a waterfall could freeze like this
the cold breeze shot through my body like a tide
rushing back a craving that I can't hide
waltzing into your home would be rude
so would be kissing you out of the blue
but if that will get you back to me
then I'll be at your door in a heartbeat

I can say a thousand words
apologies you have already heard
so what else is there to say now
all the promises I made before crumbling down
your heat still makes my body sweat
your sweet smile I will never forget
passion and agony is slim on a line
oh, how I wish you were once again mine
