Lost

My phone was ringing,
it was her mom.
She was in the hospital.
"overdose" her mom said. "we never saw it coming."
my breath left me in an instant
and i dropped the phone, feeling numb.
She came so close to leaving me
with no goodbye.
And now its tearing me up, on the inside.
It hurt so bad, thinking she couldnt trust me
we were best friends, i thought we could tell each ther everything.
Guess i was wrong.
